What is PadelCheckup

PadelCheckup is an advanced prevention program dedicated to athletes, designed to identify early any muscular, joint or tendon changes related to intensive padel practice. The checkup is performed using 3 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (3T MRI), the most advanced equipment currently available, capable of providing extremely detailed images, without radiation and without harmful effects on health. The service is designed for athletes of any level: professional and semi-professional players, competitive athletes or intensive amateurs, people who want to monitor their physical condition in depth and prevent injuries.

Why a preventive checkup is useful

During the sports season, joints and tendons are subjected to repeated loads. Many changes begin without pain and become symptomatic only when the process is already advanced. 3T MRI allows you to: • Establish your “Time Zero” An internal snapshot of your body in a healthy condition. If pain or discomfort appears in the future, we can understand whether the issue was already present or developed later. • Identify early signs of overload Inflammation, bone marrow edema, micro-tendon or cartilage lesions that are not yet symptomatic, but could progress into an injury. • Detect unsuspected conditions Sometimes MRI shows findings not directly related to sport but still important for the athlete’s overall health (e.g., cysts, anatomical variants, occult lesions). • Plan safer training Knowing your internal condition allows you to adopt prevention strategies, adjust workloads, implement targeted physiotherapy or corrective interventions.

What the standard exam includes

PadelCheckup focuses on the structures most stressed in padel: Shoulder (unilateral) Elbow (unilateral) Wrist (unilateral) Lumbar spine Knees (bilateral) Ankles and feet (bilateral) Total session duration: about 45–60 minutes. Possible additional exams (optional)

Upon request, it is possible to complete the checkup with: Brain MRI Full spine MRI Upper and lower abdomen MRI Other specific anatomical regions (e.g., hips, pelvis, muscles) These are recommended for athletes who want a global physical evaluation or who practice sports with a high annual workload.
